Associate (Research and Communications Specialist)

Immelda is a researcher with over seven years of experience in study design, ethical compliance, data collection, and advanced analysis and report writing across both qualitative and quantitative approaches. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Communication (Health Communication major) from Multimedia University of Kenya. She is proficient in research and data management tools, including Dedoose, NVivo, SurveyCTO, and ODK, and has contributed to projects on HIV prevention, adolescent sexual and reproductive health rights (ASRHR), and the reproductive health of adolescent girls and young women in humanitarian settings.

Immelda has worked with leading organizations such as Population Council, IPAS Africa Alliance, African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), and Karl Jays Consulting, where she has served as County Study Coordinator and Ethics Compliance Officer.

At Karl Jays Consulting, Immelda bridges research and communication, supporting both qualitative and quantitative studies. She combines methodological rigor with strong communication skills to ensure that evidence is not only gathered and analyzed but also effectively documented and shared with diverse stakeholders.
